A Gift Card is a physical plastic card which can be bought and used online or in-store.
An eGift Card is used very much like a Gift Card. It can be purchased online and is delivered electronically to you or your recipient. You or your recipient will receive an email with instructions on how to download and use your eGift Card. The eGift Card can be redeemed at participating stores in-store or online depending on the retailer.
WISH Gift Cards and WISH eGift Cards are redeemable at all Woolworths Group participating stores in-store or online depending on the retailer.
Store Gift Cards and Store eGift Cards are redeemable across at their respective store in-store or online depending on the retailer.
Essentials Cards are redeemable within Woolworths Supermarkets, BIG W stores and participating Caltex Woolworths co-branded fuel outlets. Essentials Cards cannot be used to purchase Alcohol, Tobacco Products, Gift Cards or eGift Cards. Essentials Cards cannot be redeemed online.
Groceries Only Cards are redeemable at Woolworths Supermarkets and cannot be used to purchase Alcohol, Tobacco Products, Gift Cards or eGift Cards. Groceries Only Cards cannot be redeemed online.
Returns Cards are issued in line with the refund policy of Woolworths Supermarkets and BIG W. Returns Cards are only redeemable at Woolworths Supermarkets and BIG W stores (including participating online stores).

When purchasing Gift Cards in-store, payment can be made via cash, EFTPOS or Credit Card. Please note that activation of in-store purchased Gift Cards may be delayed by up to 24 hours. If for any reason your card has not been activated, please return to the store of purchase with your receipt.
When purchasing Gift Cards and eGift Cards online at everydaygiftcards.com.au, payment can be made for online orders using a Credit Card, via EFT Direct Deposit or Cheque. Payment is required prior to the Gift Card or eGift Card being dispatched. Online purchased Gift Cards and eGift Cards are active when they reach the recipient.
When buying our range of online Gift Cards and eGift Cards the following fees apply:

No, we do not require you to create an account in order to send a Gift Card or eGift Card from everydaygiftcards.com.au. However, creating an account will speed up your future shopping experience and provide you access to personalised features on everydaygiftcards.com.au such as Account Information, Address Book and Order History.

WISH Gift Cards, eGift Cards, Essentials Cards, Groceries Only Cards and Store Gift Cards with an issue date after 31 March2017 do not have an expiry date, even if they are pre-printed with a shorter expiry date.

Yes, you can enter a personal message of up to 300 characters; in accordance with our 'Content Policy'.
Yes, you can customise your eGift Card. The eGift Card customisation features allows you to upload an image and/or a personal message.
Images and messages are subject to our Content Policy. We have the right to remove content not in accordance with our Content Policy. If an uploaded image is not in accordance with our Content Policy, we will remove the image and apply a default Everyday Gift Card image to the eGift Card.
Yes. On the eGift Card personalisation page, select "Use same message on all eGift Cards" after you have entered your first personal message and/or image. Your personal message and/or image will be applied to all eGift Cards in your order.
Simply personalise the eGift Card for your recipient, have it emailed to you and then print it.
On the date of your purchase, an email is sent to the recipient informing them of your gift, with a link to retrieve it online. The link in the email goes to a page showing the eGift Card you created (the design you selected – with image if applicable, your recipient's name and your personalised message), its value, expiry date and eGift Card number. This page also gives the recipient instructions for redeeming the eGift Card in-store and online.
If the recipient clicks on the link in the email and they are not able to view the eGift Card, please contact us by clicking here.
The eGift Card email is typically sent to the recipient within 48 hours of your purchase, unless you select a
delayed delivery date for eGift Cards. If an eGift Card has not arrived within a reasonable timeframe
please ensure that you or your recipient(s) check your 'Spam/Junk' inbox before contacting the Gift
Card Customer Support Team.
Gift Cards will be delivered to the provided address within 8 business days.

When making a purchase with your Gift Card or eGift Card at a participating store, simply present your Gift Card or eGift Card to the Service Assistant for payment towards your chosen goods.
For Gift Cards, when prompted, enter your Gift Card PIN into the EFTPOS terminal. For eGift Cards, when prompted enter your 10 digit eGift Card number followed by your eGift Card PIN into the EFTPOS terminal. Your purchase amount will then be deducted from your Gift Card or eGift Card's available balance.
Online When making a purchase with your Gift Card or eGift Card online simply enter your 19 digit Gift Card or eGift Card number at the checkout. When prompted, enter your Gift Card or eGift Card PIN and the purchase amount will be deducted from your Gift Card or eGift Card's available balance.
Important: If your in-store or online purchase total exceeds the available balance of your Gift Card or eGift Card, you are required to then pay the difference by other accepted means.
Gift Cards and eGift Cards cannot be used to make credit card payments or other transaction account deposits.

Any information such as full card number, or purchase / redemption information will assist our team in their attempts to identify the card and where possible, issue a replacement card.

Your Gift Card or eGift Card's PIN is a 4 digit access code.
Your Gift Card's PIN is printed on the rear of your Gift Card located under a scratch panel. Take care when initially scratching the panel to reveal the PIN. If your PIN happens to become un-readable, click here to contact us and obtain the PIN.
Your eGift Card's PIN is recorded on your eGift Card below your eGift Card's in-store and online card number Code.
For Gift Cards and eGift Cards, you are required to enter your PIN when making a purchase within a participating store, online or checking your Gift Card or eGift Card's balance.
When swiping your Gift Card through the EFTPOS terminal, if the terminal does not respond or you see the message "Bad Read", it may mean that the magnetic stripe on the rear of your Gift Card is damaged.
For WISH Gift Cards, Store Gift Cards or Returns Cards, visit the customer service desk within a Woolworths Supermarket or BIG W store and speak with a Service Supervisor who will be able to transfer the balance onto a new Gift Card for you.

If your purchase total exceeds the available balance of your Gift Card or eGift Card, you are required to then pay the difference by other accepted means, for example, cash.
Woolworths Gift Cards issued after 31 March 2017 have no expiry date (excludes Returns Cards, Shopping Cards and Frequent Shopper Club Cards). The remaining balance on your Gift Card or eGift Card remains available for your use until the balance reaches zero. For Returns Cards, Shopping Cards and Frequent Shopper Club Cards, the remaining balance of your Gift Card remains available for use prior to the expiry date of the Gift Card.

When card details are placed through a merchant's website for payment, a secure link is made between you and your financial institution. Details are then checked against the card holder's account and an electronic authentication begins. You may receive (but not always) a notification from your financial institution with a one-time passcode which is added to the merchant's payment page to finalise the transaction.*

No, there are no charges that are added to use 3DS.
Most banking and financial institutions in Australia automatically enrol their customers for 3DS. You can check if you have been enrolled by calling or visiting your financial institution. If you have not been enrolled it will not affect the transaction, though Woolworths Gift Cards may verify the purchase another way.
